RECOGNISING THE VALUE OF TRAINING AND EXPERTISE
What does it mean today to offer added value in the construction sector? It is not only about manufacturing: it is equally essential to pass on skills, in order to preserve and renew a unique body of knowledge.
It is on this principle that Zintek’s journey is founded — now recognised at a national level with the “Maestro del Made in Italy 2026” (Master of Made in Italy) award, promoted by the Foundation “Imprese e Competenze per il Made in Italy”.
This award honours companies capable of combining industrial development, training and the transmission of knowledge, making a tangible contribution to the growth of the Italian production system and to the preservation of the technical and cultural heritage of Made in Italy.
Over the years, Zintek has complemented its industrial production with an increasingly structured cultural programme, aimed at preserving and disseminating knowledge that might otherwise have been lost.
First and foremost through its website, a rich resource of technical content for industry professionals; then through publishing activities, including monographs dedicated to its major projects, the treatise Zinc-Titanium in Architecture — a key reference for designers, contractors and academia—and Architypes, a bilingual magazine that presents the company’s work while opening up a broader reflection on contemporary architecture and the cities of the future.
Finally, through the organisation of events, conferences and round tables, which over the years have brought together professionals, universities and institutions, fostering an open and shared dialogue. Within this framework, Zintek positions itself not only as a manufacturing company, but as an active contributor to the creation and dissemination of knowledge.
At the heart of this journey lies the Zintek Academy for Buildings, the first training body in Italy certified UNI ISO 21001:2019 to offer a structured pathway leading to the professional roofer certification, in line with UNI 11966:2024.
Through both in-house and travelling courses delivered nationwide, the Academy has become a key reference point for professional qualification, restoring value and appeal to a trade that combines technical expertise and craftsmanship. It is an investment in human capital that looks to future generations, providing them with practical tools to enter the workforce.
The “Master of Made in Italy 2026” award recognises precisely this approach: the ability to integrate manufacturing, innovation and training, identifying the transmission of skills as a strategic lever for the competitiveness of the production system. It is a recognition that goes beyond the product itself and is rooted in the ambition to create long-term value—for people, for the territory and for the future of architecture.
The award was presented on 23 April 2026 in Rome and received by Gianni Schiavon, Sole Director of the company, during a ceremony attended by the Minister for Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, and leading institutional representatives.
A moment that, for Zintek, represents the outcome of a shared journey with partners and collaborators: that of a company that continues to invest in skills, culture and the future.
