New Rimini sports complex clad in zintek®
A sports centre is taking shape in the eastern Italian city of Rimini that brings together exercise, sustainability, and high-quality public space.
Designed by the architecture firm Settanta7 in collaboration with Studio Ti, Progetto CMR S.r.l., and the architect Giuseppe De Martino, and coordinated by the Municipality of Rimini’s Public Works department, the complex includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, a pool for lessons, and a wellness area, alongside open spaces and facilities for all age groups like picnic areas, fitness trails, playgrounds, and various integrated services.
The building’s architectural identity is defined by its titanium-zinc zintek® cladding in Mediterranean Blue, a hue from Zintek’s «The Color Line» series.
The ventilated façades, clad in shingles and diagonal strips, combine beauty, energy efficiency, and control over internal comfort levels.
This urban regeneration project fosters dialogue between architecture and the surrounding landscape, turning a piece of sporting infrastructure into a place of connection and collective wellbeing.
