The BROOF (t3)-classified zintek® system: Safety, durability, and high performance for standing seam roofs
The rapid take-up of photovoltaic systems is having a profound effect on how buildings’ roofs are designed, with fire safety acquiring an increasingly central role. The titanium-zinc zintek® roof system has been awarded BROOF (t3) classification under UNI EN 13501-S, based on the CEN/TS 1187 external fire exposure tests. This result confirms that the system can meet the safety requirements for standing seam roofs.
It is worth noting that the BROOF classification covers the entire roof system and not the individual product: fire performance is assessed using specific laboratory tests that evaluate all the various elements that make up the roof.
