Celebrating top-class sheet metal workers: first Italian certifications issued today

Italy’s first exams to achieve UNI 11966:2024 certified sheet metal construction worker status were held today, 21 May, at the Zintek Academy’s site in Venezia Porto Marghera.

Zintek has always recognized the importance of sheet metal workers in the construction industry, and 20 years ago founded the Tinsmithery School, a leading provider of specific courses on handling and installing metal cladding. Sheet metal workers from all over Italy had the opportunity to meet and to forge relationships that turned into professional partnerships.

In 2022, the company took another step forward with the launch of the Zintek Academy, the first Italian organization to be certified under UNI ISO 21001:2019 — the international standard for educational organization management systems (EOMS).

The Zintek Academy was also the first Italian establishment to offer training leading to a certified sheet metal worker exam, with courses aligned with the UNI 11966:2024 standard and designed to help participants refresh existing skills and acquire new ones, with the ultimate aim of producing new qualified workers in the field.

This reinforces Zintek’s role as a leader and pioneer in the technical and professional training sector, offering personal development opportunities for professionals and promoting contact between architects and installers, who share the aim of creating prestigious work in all areas of architecture: from brand-new buildings to conserving and restoring existing structures (homes, schools, hotels, churches, museums, hospitals, etc.)
