113 UNA GRANDE VARIETÀ DI FUNZIONI TECNICHE ED EDUCATIVE L’edificio, definito a livello volumetrico da un’unica costruzione, si sviluppa attraverso tre elementi distinti connessi tra loro: la torre che ospiterà la Scuola per le Professioni Sociali E. Lévinas, l’edificio in linea destinato alla Scuola professionale per l’Industria, l’Artigianato e il Commercio G. Marconi e il podio nel quale troveranno casa le officine e i laboratori di meccanica. Il programma misto, la cui ricchezza delle funzioni interne all’edificio è stata fin da subito evidente, si compone di spazi amministrativi, uffici, due palestre, sale conferenza, aule ordinarie e aule speciali, spazi laboratorio con officine, porzioni condivise e un grande parcheggio interrato. Ambienti diversi, pensati in chiave educativa, uniti a un articolato sistema tecnico in linea con l’indirizzo scolastico del complesso. Dal piano -1 al piano +5, ogni livello ha una sua specifica identità data da scelte spaziali diversificate e richieste impiantistiche rispondenti alle molteplici destinazioni d’uso. Vista la complessità dell’opera, si è rivelato essenziale gestire ogni specifico ambito di intervento sia in chiave mirata che in un’ottica complessiva volta alla risoluzione delle interferenze. Dalla componente edile a quella impiantistica (elettrica e meccanica), dagli arredi speciali per le officine all’involucro esterno, ogni aspetto di cantiere — coordinato e trattato in relazione agli altri — ha contribuito alla riuscita del progetto nella sua totalità. A WIDE VARIETY OF TECHNICAL AND EDUCATIONAL FUNCTIONS The single-volume structure comprises three distinct yet interconnected elements: a tower that houses the Emmanuel Lévinas School of Social Professions, a linear building for the Guglielmo Marconi Provincial Professional School for Craftsmanship, Industry and Business, and a podium for the mechanical engineering workshops and labs. It was immediately apparent that the mixed-use development would contain myriad functions within its walls. It comprises administrative areas, offices, two gyms, conference rooms, standard and specialist classrooms, lab areas with workshops, shared spaces, and a large underground car park. This diverse range of educational environments is united by a complex technical system, designed with the school’s purpose in mind. Every floor from -1 to +5 has its own specific identity resulting from different spatial decisions and engineering demands in response to the various uses. Due to the complexity of the work, each operational area had to be managed from two different perspectives: in a specific, targeted way, and in the context of the whole project, to ensure the different elements did not interfere with one another. From the construction to the electrical and mechanical systems, and from the specialist furnishings in the workshops to the building envelope, every aspect of the project — coordinated and viewed in relation with the others — contributed to its overall success.
